Here’s a bit of why: – The Tax Director is looking for someone who can sit in his chair in 5 – 10 years as head of tax – This role will assume all the federal tax duties from the head of tax so that person can focus in international – This is a new position due to sustained, consistent growth of the company – This position will run everything federal: compliance, provision, footnoting for 10K & 10Q, audit defense, tax planning & research. Realistically compliance & provision are the majority of the role although there will work in other areas also. – Since 70% of the company’s revenue is domestic you’ll assist in big picture projects like lowering the ETR and various company-wide planning projects. – You will own both federal & state as you’ll directly supervise the State Tax Supervisor as well – Some of examples of research & planning projects will include legislative tracking, evaluating transaction tax issues around acquisitions and others.
