I think that this generation of wrestlers brought way more to the table, than what we have now. The characters were actually believable.

@Edgehead10075 They had to send the fans home happy, and since heels won 3 of the other 4 matches, it was either this or Team Slaugher v. Team Mustafa as the main event. I personally thought they were going to do a Grand Finale match at the end like the previous year with everyone who survived throughout the night

Why was this match the main event?
Vince only did one prior ppv-Summerslam 90 with Roddy Piper. He started working ppvs regularly in 1992.
The Boss Man was one of the great wrestlers in his time. Extremely athletic for a guy his size. LOD were also fun to watch. Athletic pair, son plays in the NFL.
why is it that Niedhart and Big Bully Busick both got hurt and were replaced in the 2nd match….yet they couldn’t have Rick Martel take Jake’s place and Jimmy Snuka take Sid/Randy’s place?
I would have had Snuka hit the superfly on Martel 3 minutes in, Earthquake does his aftershock 2 minutes later…..then have the events we saw at the actual ppv, what would be wrong with that?

Originally, it was supposed to be Sid Justice, LOD, and Bossman vs Jake Roberts, IRS and the Natural Disasters, but Sid got injured, then Randy Savage took Sids place. But then the WWF decided to take the Jake/Savage feud in another direction and have them face off at the Tuesday in Texas PPV instead of here at Survivor Series, so they took Jake and Savage out of this match, making it 3 on 3
