Boulder County puts property tax hike on ballot to bolster social services
The Boulder County commissioners unanimously agreed Monday to ask voters to approve a property tax increase in November to backfill losses in state funding county’s Department of Housing and Human Services, which has been forced to cut staff, close offices, cut job-training programs and reduce child care subsidies.
